Regular GCam doesn't work, but GCam Go does. Is it better than an app like Open Camera? I don't know, you'll have to test, compare the results, and decide yourself.
Green photos? Keep the "Google AWB" option always ON (swipe down in the viewfinder, the option is there). Try the versions in the stable versions page. Other newer versions should also work fine. Keep an eye on version from Urnyx05, BSG, and Arnova8G2 if you want something newer. This version from Nikita should also work. GCam 7 from Urnyx05 is reported to work on Android 11. Some of the stable versions should also work fine on this device.
